Google mojo

Does anyone know how to do a Google search (or any other search engine for that matter) that will return a list of colleges and universities that begin fall classes in September?

I have pulled out every bit of Google mojo I know and I can't find what I am looking for.

I even tried using a SQL statement.

Your search - SELECT "Acedemic Calendar" FROM "United states colleges and Universities" WHERE "Fall Classes Begin" > "September 12, 2008" - did not match any documents.

No idea. My experience with most university websites is that they are so disorganized, you'll be lucky if you can find anything.

You do know how to search only .edu sites, right?

Why do you need to know? Most universities begin classes in late August or early September.

You might try something like +fall +classes +begin +Sept.

Or +fall +semester +begins +Sept.

P.S. You spelled "academic" wrong.

:-)

Thanks Patia, I am trying to find the specific colleges or universities that start classes after a certain day in September.

Schools that use semesters tend to start in August, schools that use quarters tend to start in September. I have not been able to find the appropriate Google wizardry to filter one group out from the other.

OK, try this:

fall quarter sept. site:edu

I suggest using "sept." instead of "september" because most PR offices use AP Style, and AP style is to abbreviate months with dates.

Or try both.

why bother? :)
